I view Cotto as an inferior fighter that has done next to nothing @ 154 and got stopped twice

If Cotto is a legit 154 pound Jr. Middleweight, then why hasn't he fought Paul Williams, Alfredo Angulo, James Kirkland, Sergio Martinez, Canelo Alvarez, etc?? Heck, Cotto could've fought his own countryman Kermit Cintron!! Instead of Cintron getting paid peanuts for getting pummeled by Canelo, he could've gotten a payday getting pummeled by Cotto!

I have mad respect for Cotto. But let's face it, he fought Yuri Foreman at 154 for a belt, then an old and punch-drunk Mayorga at 154 and then a one-eyed Margarito at a catchweight. Bottom line, Cotto's best weight is still at welterweight or no higher than 150. Cotto could've easily fought Floyd at 147, but he would have make less since he would not be the champion.

Cotto made the right choice by fighting Floyd. He would've gotten paid the same amount for either a Pacquiao rematch OR Floyd. Obviously, he would rather take Floyd's punches than Pacquiao's again.

I know Floyd wants to build Cotto up, but this not the same fighter he should have faced in 2007.

This is a past prime Cotto that's been protected since the mindraping he got of Manny.

He's not really a legit 154 champ anyway.

            Let's not even pretend that.

chicken floyd forgot that cotto's reign is 147lbs that is well within the welterweight limit of 147lbs...when pacman fought cotto, cotto was in his best but pac was the better man...i wasn't surprise why chicken floyd is disliked by most boxing fans even in his own country because of his obvious ducking to the pacman...

              he's a shame to boxing...

Wow Floyd just disconnected from the real world. It's like that South Park episode about Kanye West, Floyd is boxing's Kanye with his out-of-this-world ego and mental gymnastics that reinforce fantasy rather than the truth.
Mark my words, Floyd will end up a crazy old man...

Cotto is a legit 154lb fighter he couldn't make 147 now without it taking something away from him.

Cottos own words on fighting Pac at 148 I will not sacrifice my body again. Cotto not fighting the guys you listed has nothing whatsoever to do with him not being a legit 154lb fighter.

Could you elaborate on why Cotto is an inferior fighter? @ 154 I don't view any current Jr Middles as being more superior to Cotto or that has much of a resume at that weight.
