I don't know how many times Arum has to say "we aren't interested in a Mayweather fight for May 5th" before you understand that they were never interested in making the fight.
and answer this question: Do you think it was a smart business decision for Pacquiao to publicly say that he'd take less money than Mayweather and not expect Mayweather to immediately call him out on it?Comment

It absolutely was a ploy. The fact that you couldn't name another time that Konz has negotiated on Pacquiao's behalf should tell you everything you need to know. You're kidding yourself if you think Bob Arum isn't going to be involved in negotiations for a fight of this magnitude. When Pacquiao was rumored to fight Cotto/Bradley, who were they negotiating with? Bob Arum and Todd. There's a reason for that, sir. It isn't rocket science.

Normally Arum negotiates Mannys fights. But after 2 years of nothing getting done, he sends Koncz, which everyone knows is Manny's personal lackey. He even calls Floyd personally.
Now, I dont see how Manny sending Koncz is a ploy, a facade, etc. He's doing everything he can to make the fight happen. Would you just let Arum negotiate for the 5th time and come away with nothing? Do you know what the definition of insanity is?
Did you want Manny to send hitman to break floyds legs to negotiate instead? Does that make more sense to you? Cmon, dont be ******ed. If Arum cant get the ball rolling, then maybe someone else could. Which is why Koncz was sent there in the first place.
And to answer your question, no, it wasnt smart by Manny to mention smaller split. But it was smart for him to publicly announce he offered Floyd 45-45 with 10% going to the winner. Floyd to publicly denounce that makes him look even more like he's scared.
Now, do you believe floyd really wants the fight by offering Manny 40 million on a possible 150 million fight? Manny said smaller share, but this is beyond ridiculous. And now with floyd stating he wants 100% of the PPV revenue just solidies that he is either scared or ******. How you can lay the blame on Manny for floyd wanting everything is beyond me.Last edited by shogunn; 03-02-2012, 12:30 AM.Comment

Really? Does this have to be explained?

Both camps are full of ****, in my opinion, so this is a mute point. The fight isn't happening any time soon. I don't even know why I waste time talking about it. I just crack up everytime I see someone say Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao, or visa versa.Comment

Whatever, man. The fact that you think Bob Arum said "Lets forget about a May 5th fight", but then sent Konz to negotiate the fight since nothing else was working is hilarious to me. I understand that you'll basically believe anything that comes out of Pacquiao's camps mouth, though, so its whatever.

-We know that Manny offered Floyd 45-55 to the winner
-Because of this meeting Manny was able to talk to floyd personally
-Floyds counter offer was 40 million guaranteed and nothing else.
Teh last few times Arum tried to negotiate all we got was a more stricter stance on testing, and Floyd going on vacation. At least this time we heard straight from both camps, no filter, just what transpired. I dont see how this was a bad decision on both camps to face and speak with each other. Was any of the above false?
Floyd already confirmed the entire story during the interview, but here is what you walked away with. "man I dont care, I dont believe in Mannys camp"
What it boils down to is floyd wants 100% across the board. This isnt a lie from either camp.Comment
