anyone who goes toe-to-toe with brandon rios gets BEAT UP...you'll need to have one hell of a chin to go toe-to-toe with brandon...but if you just box him like abril, alvarado and pac did..then it's more of an easy fight...

even trying to outbox him can be hard to do since he is constantly just walkign you down...acosta tried to outbox rios and still ended up getting stopped.

You could say the same thing about Maidana.

Maidana has proven to have a wider range of abilities and be more dynamic in his skill, which is to come forward and ****. He would mop the floor with Rios.

Maidana beats Rios easier than he beat Josesito Lopez.

Rios would come forward and plot.

As Rios does this, Maidana would take a step back or to the left or right while jabbing. Then -- when Rios least expects it -- Maidana would lead with power shots.

El Chino executed this strategy against Broner and it was very effective.

The only way Rios beats Maidana is at lightweight, lol. Brandon is an irresponsible lightweight. That and he balloons up inbetween fights, but Maidana stays in shape year round like Bernard Hopkins.

i think rios wins by ko. maidana's looping punches could miss while rios' short and compact punches are perfect inside weapons.

i hope this fight happens in the summer or fall/winter. they are on a collision course because rios win or lose vs gamboa will go up to 140 and maidana will most likely go back down to 140. I definitely can see rios dropping maidana multiple times, i honestly would not be shocked if they both dropped each other 4 or 5 times. 50/50 fight but I might lean a little towards rios because hes fresher.

I'd say Maidana would be the favorite but Rios is tough to knockdown and Maidana has a tendency to gas-out.
