All the elite and prospect fighters are pitted against a credible opponents
this year except Marquez who will fight an unknown fighter with 1ko.....
He should have opted to fight either Soto(willing to fight Marquez anytime and anywhere), Rios(who expressed his availability to fight Marquez recently),the "ghost" Guerrero(also challenges Marquez several times) and even Zab Judah...Anyone of them are credible fighter for Marquez next bout than a super feather fisted and unknown fighter in Cuenca...This is the first time in the history of boxing that i could remember that a soon to be Hall of famer will be pitted against an unknown fighter with 1 KO record.... Marquez is going backward......

Its a stay busy fight. The fights with Bradley and Peterson fell through, what is he supposed to do. Its obvious he wants another crack Manny in November or a shot a one of the 140 belt holders. He's 38 he needs to stay sharp and busy. I think there is a good possibility he fights Pacquiao again. Cuenca is another soutpaw and thats the reason they chose him.

this is the reason why i like El terrible Morales most than Marquez....He fought a very dangerous, bigger, very powerful and credible fighter in Maidana at this stage of his career and gave a good account of himself after the fight....He never backdown and fears any fighter....
