    Is "The Can Man" Broner THE NEXT BOXING SUPERSTAR?

    Seeing as the next hyped up Superstars, are just that... HYPE, and all of them are very protected and can lose any time their matchmakers make a mistake

    But now we have a young, charismatic boxer, fighting the best in his division and with the gift of the punching power, a GIFT FROM GOD that the Great Floyd doesn't have.

    "The Can Man" Broner gets people to talk about him, he just has that special something that the likes of Sergio Martinez.... well you know his story and his struggles to sell out a High School Gym

    Can this guy be the next "Real" Boxing Superstar after Floyd and Manny retire?

        I think we'll be calling him "can man" because of his quality of opposition (not his fault) , TBH. That certainly doesn't deter from the fact that he has "IT" in addition to tremendous boxing skills

          The fact that he has a big mouth doesnt translate to becoming great. Gary Russell to me is by far more skilled and complete fighter.

            Is he called the can man because of his quality of opposition? Serious question.

              If you just scroll back through the pages of this message board?

              Is [insert young boxer's name here] THE NEXT BOXING SUPERSTAR?

              Has been asked like 10,000,000 times. So maybe we can wait at least until these fighters headline a PPV before we ask if they're the next superstar?

                He's lookin very, very good. Chances are high that he becomes a top pound for pound fighter but he is trying way too hard to sell himself. Looked like a ****ing clown sat night. I guess he isn't confident he can become a top guy soley because of his boxing ability. Has to act like a fool to get some buzz.

                  [QUOTE=Phenom;11829884]he is trying too hard

                  exactly, people wont tolerate that mess if he isnt a WORLD BEATER!!!! if he's getting hand selected opponents and fighting always being the favorite, ie like floyd mayweather, then NO HE WONT BE A SUPER STAR...... he'll be another obnoxious wannabe cool guy........

                  as long as broner fights the fights the fans want to see, as long as he closes the show and doesn't carry his opponents, as long as broner doesn't play the diva role, then yeah, he can take it all the way.....

                  i just see his antics and his persona getting in the way, right now it's his mantra, his motivation of sorts, but as soon as that is satiated??? he runs the risk of becoming another loud mouth wannabe super star who banks on his character work more than his skills.....

                  he has the pedigree, so im eager to see how he plays out, NOTHING HE IS DOING IS ORIGINAL, so I don't know why he even tries playing that role, it's for real douche baggery and annoying to watch, luckily, he can make up for it in the ring.........

                  he sets the bar up so high for himself, that if he isnt a world beater, if he isnt the best of the best, CRITICISM IS GOING TO BE 10 FOLD ON HIS AZZ....... for his sake I hope he can back it up........

                  i have to admit, this is the first time with a fighters character like this, that I don't mind, mainly because he's been knocking guys out, and really clean with his defense and punch selection, once that goes, once that slips, once that isnt on par with his trash talking, it's going to be a damaging blow to his paradigm......
