Khan had one bad round - the 10th. . . It was a good fight, and good effort by Maidana, but Khan clearly won. . . He also put Maidana on his ass, and likely would have finished the job if he had 10 more seconds.
What about Kotelnik? He beat Alexander on most people's cards, and Khan absolutely dominated him.
THat's just boxing for ya. . As cliched and hackneyed as the saying "styles make fights" is, it couldn't be further from the truth. . . .
If Khan would stop dancing , diving in, and prancing all around the ring, and sit down on his punches and throw a simple 1-2 more often he would be winning way easier. He's needs more composure in the ring. He needs to use his head more, If he sat down on his punches guys would be getting knocked out. He has power he's not utilizing. His physical gifts aren't being fully utilized because he's lacking brain power.
Khan gave maidanaa bit of a beating so not sure if Maidana has ever got over it.
Maidana realized he wasnt so bad a man, even if people told him he was after the loss to khan and Maidana knew people could hurt him real bad like khan did with that body shot.
Maidana also had a strength and conditioning coach for the Khan fight and was in tremendous condition. The Maidana of Sat night would get stopped by Khan.
