Pretty obvious really, Pacquiao is a global icon and so is Nike. Pacquiao will help Nike sell a shed load of their gear.

Pacquiao is popular all over the world, especially in the far east, and quite a few of those economies are booming while the western markets are in decline.

If Nike got any sense they should get Pacquiao promoted in the China a lot more and Nike could rake in billions and make Pacquiao by far the richest boxer ever.

A global Icon who wants the super fight. 50/50 split is already being generous.
