How can people call this guy elite when he hasn't won against a real name, yet deny Devon Alexander the same courtesy and after saying this guy is boring? It's hard to understand people. El Titere gets taken to school by Conelo and he's still elite? How is that different from Alexander?

First of all its about consistency. Miguel beating solid guys at his weight class with zero controversy.

Now Alexander has beaten some solid guys. But with a ton of controversy. Before the Bradley fight many still considered him elite at 140. The quit job hurt him and the Lucas robbery hurt him, and you can't call him elite at WW because the only fight he has at WW is vs a JWW who moved up.

Now. Miguel fought Canelo twice. A SD loss in his debut and a loss at 148. Miguel Vazquez is undefeated at 135.

      Understand?

      Any questions?

Pac's undercard looking better than Floyd's at the moment. Hopefully they find a good opponent for Peter Quillin, because Canelo-Mosley and Vargas-Gomez (possible) is s**t. The only good thing about those fights is that Jessie Vargas is very crowd pleasing and Shane's girl is fine as hell, that's it.

I don't see why so many people are thinking Vargas is pretty good, I don't see it.

He won't beat Brook, Jones, Solomon, Guerrero (if he carries 147 fine), Alexander, Berto, or Ortiz at 147. I don't even think he'd Paulie Malignaggi.

Vazquez taken to school by Canelo? Did you even see that fight? For most people on the arena Vazquez was the winner not Canelo.

He's still green. Still not sure how good he can be.

Will wait until a few more fights to judge.

If they match him with Gomez in May, he should fight the Guerrero-Aydin winner after that. Even though I think Guerrero would school him, assumming Guerrero beats Aydin, it'd be a really big win if he were to beat Guerrero. And I think Guerrero would take a fight with Vargas.

If Vargas had good power or enough power to really hurt you, I think he'd be a pretty dangerous fighter. But, he doesn't. He likes to **** when he's not jabbing and boxing from the outside, which is about half the time at least, and I just see him getting knocked out bad one of these days when he fights a Top 10 WW.

It just feels like they are trying to hype him as one of the really good next Mexican-American fighters, and he's not it. Victor Ortiz will have a far better career than Jessie Vargas ever will, BY FAR.
