I'd like to echo all the sentiments of my fellow posters.

Poor guy. As a boxer, one learns to overcome adversity by working harder, being better, fighting.

While those traits will obviously come into effect later in the healing process, right now all anyone can do is stand there and take it. Grief is such a horrid, desperate thing.
