My mate got a DVD set of his whole career with like 16 of his amateur fights and like 5-6 documentaries on them, and also a whole DVD devoted to his training.
On the training one i think there are like random bouncers coming in off the street and dudes that thought they were tough and stuff like that. Then it showed footage of him absolutely mashing them up in the corner and stuff.
But i wouldnt say those were all he sparred. Of course he sparred people with a pulse too.....
late 90 when he left rooney, his skills deteriorate so thats why he got knock down by sucker like greg and mccall. before that he was brutal against most of his sparring partners they were all scared of tysons.
I read in Lennox's autobiograpthy that Cus D`Amarto stopped the session after one round ( Lewis and Tyson sparred at Catskills ).
because Lewis was getting the better of Mike. It was Lewis' book i read that so maybe take it with a pinch of salt.
Ever heard of the book "Choas, corruption and glory in a year of boxing"? Lennox is quoted as saying in that book that it was like Mike was trying to kill him. But by the end of a hand full of sessions he could hold his own. Nothing more.
