he faced two true elite fighters and lost both...his comeback effort ends when he loses to another elite fighter.

I don't care what kind of injuries he has, he can beat Daniel Santos, Kasim Ouma, Kofi Jantuah, and Shane Mosley.

        He's too big for Shane...

I don't see him doing anything that great again.

Actually, I would love to see Quartey climb back up and fight beat Vargas in a rematch.

I wish him the best but i doubt he'll reach the top. If he goes back to fighting the way he did (standing in front of his opponent like a punching bag) its over. Too long of a time off. His eating and training habits arent exactly good. Basically he is lazy and thats hard to change.

Vargas was never a punching bag, he was slippery, he stood in front but he has great head movement. I would like to see him come back at 160 and take on Hopkins. Not that he could ever beat a prime Hopkins but a 40 year old Hopkins, Vargas probably has a shot. After all the people who failed to move up and take out Hopkins it would be hilarious if Vargas actually did it, then he could go up even higher to 168 simply because no one is there.

There was 0 movement in his fight against Trinidad, and thats what cost him the fight. And it cost him big. He stands in front of you forever thinking of where to hit you. He needs to be what his nickname says, ferocious, as he fought against Trinidad and it dont suit him at all.
