    Jessie Vargas and Deandre Latimore.....

just aren't very good. Latimore isn't going to beat any of the top people at 154, not even close. And while Vargas is decent, he has a good jab and can **** a bit, he just doesn't impress me. If he had power, he'd be a legit threat to me. But, he doesn't. He punches in bunches and likes to trade, but he's just got no power to hurt you. Vargas will lose once he fights one of the Top Welterweights, no doubt about it.

Anyone else think these guys were just a bit over hyped due to being on Mayweather Promotions????

i've never been high on latimore

there's a reason he's never had a sustained run at the top. he's a big attraction in the Lou, though. not a horrible style to watch either but he'd do a lot better if he could put guys away. corey spinks was just awful to look at.

vargas isnt going to be a world beater but he's got a very crowd pleasing style. i wouldn't be surprised if he starts making it onto floyd undercards more often. he can punch, has a good chin, and he's very much open to get hit.

Latimore is better than we saw last night. Unless he truly is washed up at this fairly young age, he was just rusty. Having said that, I can't see him getting a title at JMW. Vargas is pretty good in my opinion. He definitely could work on his defense, but you have to love his workrate and punch placement. Tyner was a tough SOB, but I'm not so sure that other welters would've lasted the distance (especially from the body work). He's 22, and was still able to bully Tyner with his physical strength at times. He's only going to get stronger and better.

latimore looked like ish...even in the rounds he was winning... vargas, i like though...tyner was tough and tried to make it a brawl, after losing his head for a bit, vargas focused and got back to boxing but was more than willing to let his hands go...good body work, defence needs improvement though...lots of heart...overall good night of boxing...

Vargas is ok but his mouth is too big. Wouldnt mind seeing him against Rios at JWW. I think Rios takes him out.
