there's a first time for everything though, right?

do you think calzaghe is the same guy these days? or at least enough of his old self to beat lacy? i respect both boxers immensely but i just don't think a calzaghe punch carries a third the impact of a lacy punch. and you know they're going to end up trading at one point or another. regardless i can't wait for that fight. i have faith it will happen

I think the zest of Calzaghe is gone. The grit and desire to be the best. He has been fighting passive the last few years. Maybe Lacy will trigger the desire again but there are more questions about Calzaghe than lacy!

Calzaghe has been a shadow of his former self in his last three fights, no doubt his mental and emotional problems have affected him (his wife cheated on Joe with somebody else, then divorced Joe, and has hardly spoken to Joe for 18 months, and doesn't want Joe to have access to his kids!).

Joe will need to roll back the years to stand a chance against Lacy.

Oh and watch Calzaghe KO's (particularly early career, before weight problems) then tell me that he can't ****!

              Amateurs are for LEARNING...
              Not to show off...

Pros are to show what you got...

              A loss in amateurs don't mean ****...

Comparing ams and pros is like comparing basketball to football...
JUJUY, you biased British *******, I am going to laugh in your face when Lacy knocks out that ****zaghe..

Well, if Calzaghe turns up in the form he's shown of his last three fights then he gets beaten by most top ten fighters. Calzaghe has looked a shadow of his former self lately, and if Lacy can't beat him then he's even worse than I thought.

But it's obvious Lacy would of hardly stood a chance against the 1996 Calzaghe.

                  Excuses...

The only reason you're on Calzaghe's nuts all the time is because he beat up your boyriend Chris Eubank..

You just want to act like Eubank DIDN'T lose to a bum...
                  Don't worry, I feel ya...

Your a fiery little character aren't ya.

The fact is, Calzaghe was a great fighter in his day but He never stepped up the competition and He never took on the top guys.

Whatever it was He didn't want to leave Wales, and his legacy is paying for it.

It seems to me like Calzaghe has lost his passion for the sport, it looks like He's just fighting to get it over and done with. He's not fighting with his brains anymore.

I used to train with a guy that showed up on Lacys record a few times, Arthur Palac. He was just maybe 9 or 10 years old when he was coming down to Galaxy and he turned out to be an outstanding amatuer fighter. His dad is an excellent trainer and has trained a few of his sons to very good amatuer success.

This fight is a close call though and I have not picked a favorite yet.
