The 145lb catch-weight demand was a show-stopper.

Cotto was faded, damaged, vulnerable, and ripe-for-the-picking..... the timing of that fight was horrible for Miguel, plus Team Pacquiao demanded weight restrictions.
Cotto was likely ranked about #5 when Pac fought him, and that 145lb version of Cotto would have been beaten by a number of guys in his own division.
So how come people give Manny credit for that win, I dont get it ?
A number of guys could have beaten that version of Cotto, so why is it regarded as a "great" achievement?

This is an offhand insincere comment by Roach, he does not feel that way. It is the same as saying, "man I wouldn't even want to win the lottery, you know?". It is that whole "say something is going to happen, when deep down you don't want it to" scenario. This is Roach's way of playing down Cotto's abilities and inside hoping he beats Floyd to make the world think there is no way Floyd could beat Manny. Also, because that means there would be no pressure to face Floyd ever if this happened. Roach is full of ****, I used to like him but he has turned into a real intolerable *******. He gets a lot of passes from people because of his disease but he is still a prick. I even watched that show of his on HBO and he acts like a ****. I respect his knowledge of boxing, I am sorry he has Parkinsons and he is a great trainer, no doubt about that...but this whole commentary is BS.
