The Racket Squad: The Amazing Faith Of Shane Mosley

Shane has been granted an amazing gift. He is perceived, after 3 horrid performances, to still have one final triumph within him after 4 decades of living.
There are surely men that Mosely could still stand victorious over.
Unfortunately, Saul is not one of them.
Alvarez is by no means my pick as the next 'prodigy' as dictated by the sometimes overbearing Max Kellerman
But he is a talented young man, half the age of the payday seeking ex champ, and has the will that youth engages to overcome the flaws that currently haunt his game. His footwork is uneven, he is there to be struck as Gomez proved before he tired and he falls asleep at the wheel when pressed.
The problem is that Shane has nothing left in his aged arsenal to combat those deficets. Strength and desire that have kept Canelo unbeaten.
Of course he also has his Promotional team to thank for this streak he is on.
Saul has yet to face a man in his prime who can honestly test the youngsters over all grit.
And so when the initial press release stated that Canelo would face either Mosely or Kirkland next, we all knew that it was never to be anyone other then the once great Shane.
'Sugar' may display some of the moves that made him famous for 3 to six minutes, but after 3 frames he will out of gas, time and excuses.
    Everyone loves an underdog.
But do you really think that Golden Boy would jeopardize their most significant cash cow just when the payoff could loom large.
If anyone knows what Mosely has left, it is Oscar.
Floyd made Shane want to quit.
Alvarez will use the simplicity of youth to end a career in the manner that Louis , Robinson, Tyson and so many others faced.
James Brown said that ultimately, 'Money Won't Change You But Time Will Take You On.'
    Amen to that wisdom.
I love a happy ending as much as the next guy, but the 47 year old B-Hop has a better chance at upsetting the inconsistent Chad Dawson then Shane has in defying gravity when he collapses.
Youth will be served. Don't go betting the rent money on the fantasy that 'Sugar' Shane has one last magnificent KO victory in him.
    Pipe Dreams die hard.

Canelo come blazing in after Shane all you want; you get KNOCKED OUT.
Put your points where your mouth is. I bet you any amount that Canelo not only beats Mosley, but DOMINATES him. Shoot me any bet and I will accept, cuz I am certain that Canelo wins this - easily.

First he beats a guy six divisions below him and now he plans to beat an elder.

        Shame on you, Canelo.

Agreed. People arent patience. The kid is 21. The is a good matchup in terms of development. Canelo aint polished yet. At least Canelo was trying to fight the best in or around his division (Floyd and Cotto), but obviously those 2 ended up matching with each other so he couldn't get those fights. You dont see Chavez jr who is 25 calling for Martinez or Ward.

It's not impossible. Just because he's been in with two of the best and lost doesn't mean he's done.

It will be a shame for boxing if Mosley does knock out Canelo though.

Mosley is still good. It is OK for Floyd and Pacman, who are supposably the best to fight Mosley but not Canelo? You hate him cause he is good, handsome, rich, young, white and Mexican!
