I respect Roy a lot, but his career to me has been marked off by his unwillingness to take risks as we saw how he recently fought Tarver... he was scared of mixing it up with Tarver.

he was basically exposed against him too, when he actually decided to step up his GAME!

De la Hoya is not an easy guy to surpass. He fought everyone he could possibly fight, in several divisions, going all the way up to middle, even though he lost to B-Hop.

            SRR is NOT...
            SRR fought 200 fights....
He fought SOO many great fighters!
He fought evertone that was available..

            He may have fought bums...
but he fought 4 times a month sometimes..

            So you are :PWNING yourself.
            SRR is a god.
Beside that, when you get into the 200 fight mark, then you're going to have fought a lot of bums. When you're just over the 50 fight mark, and you're going to be considered by a lot one of the all-time greatest P4P fighters, you need more name fighters. At any rate, my point about Jones wasn't his resume, it was that there are so many unanswered questions about him to so many people. He could have done more at Middle, and Super Middle, but he went up really fast, why? Why didn't he fight Nunn? Why didn't he fight Johnson four years earlier? Why didn't he do a lot of things that he didn't do? I love Roy, just like I love Floyd, they were both amazing in the ring, but I don't want to see people asking the same things of Floyd that they ask of Roy.

              Well said.

I just don't know why Jones decided not to take risks in fighting Darius (even overseas). His division was weak, theres no doubt about that. But he didn't challenge himself for greatest. Maybe he should have stayed up in heavy? Who knows, but there are a lot of unanswered questions.

Virgil Hill was OLD and shot, and a OLD Thomas Hearns whooped him
                John Ruiz is a BUM!
Hill wasn't exactly at the top of his game, but it's not like Roy just beat him, he TKOed him with a body shot. Something that hadn't been done before.

It's similar to the Lacy-Reid fight recently. Lacy TKOed Reid in dominating fashion, but Reid is past his prime, and not the same fighter he once was. This doesn't take anything away from the win because Reid had never even tasted the canvas before this fight, and in this one, he did it five times.

So far, Mayweather has Castillo, Corralles, and Chavez to his record, that's it. Manfredy is good, but not great, he's another solid fighter, but nothing like the three above. Gatti is a neverwas, he neverwas good or great, he was just exciting.

Toney hasn't really "gotten better," he just fights safer now. Toney dominated back then as much as he does now, but Roy made him look silly. Use all the excuses you want to for him, but the fact still remains that Roy kicked his ass all over the place that night, James couldn't even see what was coming.

Both McCallum and Reggie Johnson were still very good fighters, but not the fighters they were a weight class or two below light heavy.

                  You know what's funny...

Robinson challenged Archie Moore in his PRIME!

                  Moore didn't fight him..

                  Joey Maxim fought Robinson...
SRR dominated him but the heat beat him..

All i was saying is People get robbed in the U.S. a lot... just like every other country.
