Hope Rubio wins his case. The corruption in boxing is surprising but these are lives we are talking about

A middleweight fighter in training with 2 weeks to go would likely be no more than 7-8 lbs overweight, and likely Chavez had been eating and drinking at the party, putting on more (easily lost) weight. So there's nothing to his accusation.

As for having to strip down to weigh in. He weighed in at a whole pound under. AND the reason he "stripped down" was, according to the report on the scene, that he'd just put on his pants with no underwear and came down to weigh in. Because he had no underwear, they weighed him behind a curtain to conceal his nudity.

                  No sinister motive.
