Manny might have said that but there was no way Arum was going to let that happen, at least not as early as May 5th. They had a barrage of excuses ranging from some mysterious venue to "May not being enough time to promote the fight" to Marquez cut and many more.

Sure that looks to be the case but I'm in no way convinced that Arum would have accepted May 5 even with 50/50.

In fact what I think would have went down was Arum tricking Floyd into believing the fight was on, then stoping all negotiations and have Floyd go to jail having fought no one and completely wasting his time.

We can only hope they fight next because they won't really have anyone else worthy of fighting but each other.
