Really we have one side who sees this as a night and day "good guy" and "bad guy" paradigm. They perceive that the "good guy" and everyone associated with him has to be somehow the "good guys" and everyone associated with the other side is bad.
One side just happens to be a fan of an athlete for his abilities regardless of the problems he may have outside the ring.
The other side views their boxer as a hero, pretty much the only international celebrity their country has ever had, and a demigod of sorts.
There really is no point debating things with the Pacquiao fanbase because for the most part you are dealing with deism. In their eyes Pac can never do anything wrong because they see him as infallible. Time would be better spent talking with your pet dog or cat about boxing, and it has probably watched more matches hanging out with you than most of the Pacquiao fanbase has.
