Comments Thread For: Pacquiao: My Son Wants Me To Fight Mayweather, Retire

Forget the fans. Forget the media. WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is feeling the pressure at home. Pacquiao's eleven-year-old son, Emmanuel Jr., is pushing his father to retire from boxing - but not before he fights and beats his welterweight rival, WBC champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Come on Pacquiao you only make $7.5m a fight, Mayweather gives you $40m and you say you want 50-50 are you crazy?

These journalists should ask this guy real probing questions. Ask Pacquiao why he thinks he deserves 50-50 when he never makes as much as Mayweather?

The fight didn't happen on May 5th cause of Floyd, it's obvious. He was being greedy with the split.

Though I would have still been curious to see what Arum would have said about May 5th. He stayed hell bent on late May in a customized stadium".

Well Pacquiao agreed to the tests, so Floyd after a long vacation and another warm up fight needed a new excuse.

Luckily for Floyd there are a lot of gullible people that will believe anything he says and never question Floyd in the slightest.

That's how Mayweather thinks, so you think he's actually serious that he wants the fight? First the extra PEDS tests killed the negotiations, 50/50 was ok then. Now that Pacquiao agrees to all his extra PEDS tests suddenly 50/50 is the new excuse. So you really think he's seriously trying to make this fight? This fight is never going to happen, Mayweather sr. is right, it's just not the right fight for his son.

In other new Pacquiao took a **** and his **** talked to him and told him to fight mayweather. Im pretty sure everyone is telling both of these fighters to fight each other. That in itself is not news.

Boxing is about money and entertainment, it should go 50/50 both fighters generate 1.0 to 1.5 million buys on PPV, even people who dont watch boxing will order the fight. it's predicted the fight will generate 3.0 million buys and about 300 million dollars, if you was a fighter would you settle for just 40 million only, when the split could be 150 million for each...
