He said 55/45 to the winner. Which means he could and based on Mayweather and his fans, lose that fight. Which means he would be taking less.

That doesn't answer my question. What was so wrong with Mayweather asking for more money if Pac said he would take less? Also, why would he agree to a 55/45 to the winner when Manny Pacquiao openly said that he would take less? All a man really has in this world is his word and Pac went back on it. He basically portrayed himself as the guy who really wanted the fight but when Floyd was pushing for it, Pac all of a sudden wanted to split it even. Should have never said that you were down to take the lesser share if you really didn't mean it. If Floyd really wanted the fight that bad he would have given him 50/50 but he don't care cause he is getting more $than Pac anyway to fight fighters like Cotto and Ortiz. I say the fight should be 50/50 based on their star power and earning ability alone. Pac has the star value while Mayweather has the money value. They have both but one is stronger in something than the other. Until the fans really start disregarding them then the fight is not happening.

Personally I would love for him to accept these terms, but when you look at his business model, it makes no sense for Pacquiao to think he deserves exactly what Mayweather gets....now Pacquiao can get exactly what Mayweather gets if Arum was out of the picture.....under the current way Mayweather does business with self promotion, he invests his own cash and receives, yet he would be losing some that same cash to Pacquiao no matter what. Arum is the one who would need to give Pacquiao that same amount, which would mean he would need to lower that 27.5% take. Mayweather does not have a promoter taking this, therefore Pac can not expect the same guarantee

The real question is that MAYWEATHER CALLED PAC, Why couldnt Pac call Floyd?? The man had to find Pacs number to call him....
