On latin sports radio the other day(12-29-04) i herd a interview with jose luis castillo abput his upcoming fight with corrales..when asked who he would be interested n fighting..he said if KT is still around and hasnt gone up to 147 yet..he would love to fight KT..and he said it wouldnt be for the money but for pride..he said he would rather be layed out in the middle of the ring then to not try and belives he has a great chance..if not he said he will either stay at his weight but if there are not any good fights will still go up to 140...he also expressed wanting to fight cotto..but he stated

"i dont think it would be fair for cotto to fight me,he great but has a lot to learn before getting in the rign with someone that can take a punch,move and hit bach hard also-so he needs more time"

I think he wouldve had a chance a couple of years ago but he is starting to fade now. He just beat a good fighter in Cassamayora but he was fading too. He also gets hit alot but he's so big compared to the other guys at 135 that they dont have a tremendous effect on him. He still got buzzed a few times by Floyd, Joel, and Juan. I think if a true 140 pounder like Zoo hit him it could have a big effect

With Castillo's style, this fight is suicidal.

I doubt this fight happens because Castillo still has business to take care of at 135 and Zoo is just about ready to move up to Welterweight.If they did fight,I say Tszyu wins a hard fought decision maybe a late round TKO.I agree,beating Castillo is easier said than done and I definetly think he'l give Tszyu a run for his money if they ever fight.

Castillo's a good fighter but i think he should stay at lightweight, if he moved up to face Tszyu i think he'd get beat.

Thas exactly the attitude KT should be taking with regards to the possiblility of a fight with Hatton. But no. The coward is is not interested. Coward. Bring it on.

If its an easy win it would be even more reason for KT to take Castillo. It would be dumb for him to move to 147 where they dont really have any money. (only DLH has money and he isnt fighting KT at least for 2 years).

He can stay at 140 have, Have Castillo come to him, and raise his stock tremendously if it is as easy as some are saying. At the same time attracting Diego Corrales to come to him.

I think it would be a good fight and my money would favor KT but i wouldnt sell Castillo short.. of course castillo is getting older and older .. so..

castillo cant make 135 anymore without hurting himself .

at 140 he is still BIG but i think tsyu is just does everything better than castillo.

castillo is a great fighter IMO , but tsyu would win by latte stoppage.

Great fight, but Tszyu would win. I think Tszy beats everyone at 140 and under.

Tszyu is a much better boxer than people give him credit for. It would look alot like Tackier/Tszyu with Castillo chasing and Tszyu picking him off while he comes in.
