i think lucien bute will stop carl froch

As you know, im a massive froch fan. However i have to be honest. I can see bute stopping froch.

If you thought ward was a bad style match up i think bute is worse for froch. Hes a far crisper puncher than ward, and packs alot more power. Froch feel could be stopped in the 9th round onwards, due to the precise hand speed or bute.

Dont get me wrong, i think forhc will have his moments, but the guy will be 35 fighting bute, going into this fight with a loss.

    what are you guys thoughts?

The thing is Froch doesn't have great skills at all. But he is by far the toughest and most durable boxer in his division. I don't think he has even been knocked down, ever. He is also very strong. Kinda strange at his age, but whatever.

On the other hand Bute is much better puncher, much more accurate and deadly, more explosive punching. But he isn't a slickster like Ward, so he can be hit fairly easily. So I could see this fight becoming a war, where anything can happen. Bute will have to beat the hell out of Froch, and I think he can do it.

Personally, I hate Froch's personality. Good boxer to watch. But he is a bit of an idiot, thinking he is better than Calzahage, and even trying to coax him back into the ring. How silly is that?
Jermain Taylor knocked him down twice.

Once, and he got up with no problems at all. I agree Bute is a tough fight for Froch, I fancy Bute to take this one, but talk of Froch being stopped is going too far. He must be one of the toughest guys in the entire sport.

You're right. Taylor hurt him once, and knocked him down once. Got it a bit mixed up.

He was knocked down by Taylor before coming back to KO him with a few seconds left on the clock in the final round.

And what was wrong with him trying to get Calzaghe out of retirement? He wanted a big pay-day & he wanted that big test. Nothing wrong with that.

No one gets up from a Taylor knock down "with no problems at all". Froch was visibly hurt and fell down with his legs all crossed like an idiot. He ran into a short right hand I think, that visibly hurt him, then Taylor hit him on the top side of the head if I remember correctly and Froch fell down Llike a sack of patatoes.

The point is Froch has been Knocked down, I couldve mistakenly said 3 or 4 times, I was just correcting the guy who said Froch has never been down which he has, at the hands of Bad Intentions.

I think this will become a war, I don't believe that Froch will get knocked out though, like people have said he is a tough SOB.

I don't know what will happen but it will come down to points.

Froch is a warrior and dominated Taylor in the end coming out with the win. But you are right Taylor knocked him down and that shook him a bit.

oh dont get me wrong, froch will land, but it think butes crisp punching will take a accumative effect. It wont be a one punch kncok out, but every dog has his day. And i think bute stylistically is a knightmare for froch
