  • Comments Thread For: Chisora Likely To Avoid Boxing Ban From British Board

Dereck Chisora could be set for a heavy ban from boxing in the wake of his shocking brawl with David Haye in Munich on Saturday night. Some reports claim he will be banned for life, but the British Boxing Board of Control's record for dealing out punishment for pre- or post-fight misdemeanours suggests he may escape with a lesser sentence. The British Board has ordered Chisora to appear for a hearing on March 14th.

    Terrible article

They referred to 4 moments in almost 30 years when the fighters were not suspended, but what about the times the fighters were actually suspended?

The title of the article is misleading because there nothing pertaining to this case specifically to say so but instead using assumptions

I don't know who writes the titles or headlines for BS, but they need to be relieved of their duties.

He was fined last year. I highly doubt he will just get a fine this time.

If he is not banned or at least suspended for a considerable amount of time then the British Board have lost their minds. Chisora is not a huge name and he is only infamous for his pre and post fight antics.

Only internet juveniles would condone Dereck Chisoras behavior and a clear precedent has to be set. Lets say he gets off with a fine and a suspended sentence then that is clearly sending out the wrong messages to the up and coming fighters. Just look at the attention Chisora is receiving through the press and the media, some ignorant kid would think that is an easy way to get noticed and then this gets out of hand.

Its brought a lot of attention to the sport and although bad press can be good in certain occasions, this is just not one of them.

Fat boy Warren tried to pass off a load of nonsense by saying there was some sort of glitch with the BoxNation channel and therefore it was free for everybody but he knows damn well that he wanted to capitalise off the hype after the weigh in incident. People like him love controversy and lets hope he gets what he deserves and that is his fighter getting banned.
