Comments Thread For: Juan Carlos Gomez Will Return To The Ring on April 21

Former cruiserweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez (49-3, 37 KOs) will return to the ring on April 21st at the Sport and Congress Center in Schwerin, Germany. The fight is going to take place on the undercard to Dimitri Sartison's super middleweight bout with Karoly Balzsay. Gomez, at one time considered to be a serious contender in the heavyweight ranks, suffered a shocking setback in his last fight - when he dropped a majority ten round decision to tough journeyman Darnell Wilson.

it's good to see him back. he went into wilson fight with a pre-existing injury & fought anyway. at least he never made any excuses when he lost to wilson. his promoter & manager fired his trainer & team for allowing the fight to go on. it was a huge setback for gomez.
