One a pure boxing level, it is just that I have a taken a liking to his style. His style alone changed the way people box, the same way Canzoneri and Sugar Ray did in the past, among other greats.

but on the level of "boxers as artists", something I find interesting...

He very unique, like a paradox. he reminds me of beethoven in the artistic sense, on one level he is cold & hard-headed but on another he is extremely emotional and vulnerable. reminds me of Mozart in the way he was molded by his father and believed his talents where the result of a bond he had with something Divine... extremely talented and totally self-absorbed as a result of his intense focus, a brooding genius understood by no one, often forced to be the sad clown

I would like to be a fly on the wall when he talks to his psychiatrist, if he can swallow his pride enough to see one at all

Face it: 99% of the people currently slobbering on Floyd's knob will dump him the moment he loses his "0" and start looking for another "0" to proclaim "The GOAT"......Oh, and *******s? If and when Manny gets laid out unconscious you'll do the same damn thing and you'll all start hunching Donaire's leg like a dog in heat.

Currently? I have none. No one really intrigues me right now. I use to like Hopkins but now I wish he'd just go away. I use to like Holyfield. Same thing, I wish he'd just go away.

Personally I'm a fan of the SPORT first and foremost, and a fan of this or that fighter a clear second.

Manny is a fighter. Hes lost before. We dont embrace or follow Manny because hes not beatable. He fights. Hes exciting to watch. He goes down gets up bleeds knocks down people. brawls. takes hits and gives them. He fights bell to bell. he dont steal rounds at the end of a round or dances around the ring waiting for a counter...like someone we know! Hes a good person outside the ring as well. So to respond....Not one Manny fan will walk away if he were to lose or get laid out. Hes the type that comes back and avenges his lost! Gatti (RIP) was/is one of my favorite fighters of all time...he had losses and still his fans came back win lose or draw to see him. Its his HEART! Same with Pac fans...loyal to the end!

i agree with your ***** comment though!

He is a once in a generation fighter. He has skills that I watch over and over again. He has made me alot of money in bets and his work ethic is second to none. Just being talented is one thing. Working as hard as he does is another.

You may be unusual in that, then again you may not. Have to give you props for being fond of Gatti. The dude brung it and while he was never a great fighter Arturo gave you your money's worth.....can't hate on that.

Simply because he is easily the most skilled fighter in the last 10 years.
