I like the show, but these guys are not boxing people. I get the feeling that they only fighters they ever paid serious attention to are Ali and Tyson. They way they talk about Floyd can be a disgrace, they haven't even seen his fights!
Serisouly though these espn reporters should not talk about Boxing simply because they know nothing about it. Boxing is irrelevant makes no sense it is just much more of a global sport now where as before it was more of an American sport. Klitschko vs. Chisora sold 36,000 tickets and had over 18 million viewers in Germany and Klitschko vs. Haye had about 5 times as many viwers globally than the Super Bowl had and Pacquiao vs. Marquez was the most watched fight in Mexican history. Than bring up MMA/WWE something that is completely irrelevant in the discussion while discussing Boxing. I dont really understand the Boxing is dying saying considering it has been around for over a 100 years.
Woody Paige thinks this was all preconceived to compete with WWE and MMA.
wow.
It is like they think boxing is some kind of cheesy movie from years ago. They get teary eyed talking about Ali but they never even heard of Larry Holmes. They don't even know the state of modern boxing, they don't have the patience to follow all the weight classes and actually watch all the rounds.
example of how the media makes or breaks the fight game
That was some of the most ignorant reporting I have ever seen because they literally know nothing about the topic. They should start saying soccer is dead because they do not follow it and it is not popular among their crowd and in America.
