What? Is this a serious post? If it is, then I guess it's pretty obvious that Marquez weighed in only 3lbs more for his Pacman fight than his previous one, and if it's not, then i missed the joke, my bad.Comment

i will have to disagree with this. unless you know him on a personal level or theres more recent information (changes since the holt fight?). but according to this video from a couple years ago he does a 5 day cleansing/fast period before camp and then a strict vegan diet during camp: http://www.********.com/watch/266225...rkout_routine/Comment

This is not only about absolute weight, but about body composition. Marquez was in terms of lbs a little bit heavier than he normally does on fight night, but his body composition was radically different. The Marquez that fought Floyd was about the same size as the Marquez that fought Pacquiao, yet he looked completely different because of his body composition.Comment

The Marquez that fought Floyd was smaller than the one that fought Pacman. I don't see how anyone can say that JMM beefed up to fight Pacman. You seem to be implying he toned up or his body became more acclimated with the weight, but that's the opposite of beefing up.This is not only about absolute weight, but about body composition. Marquez weighted 148 vs Floyd on fight night, and 150 vs Pac of fight night ... Only a couple of pounds in weight difference, yet his body was absolutely different, he was huge and looked very strong against Pacquiao, while he was flabby and was retaining a lot more water against Floyd ... He gained more muscle for the Pac fight, and re hydrated less for the fight, while against Floyd he gained some muscle, some fat and then re hydrated with more water for Floyd's fight. The Marquez that fought Floyd was smaller than the one that fought Pacman.
