It was actually very imprudent from that guy to fight Haye, you just don't fight against a professional HW boxer in a street brawl. And from those pics posted by Body Movin' Chisora is nowhere to be seen, he should have defended his "friend".

Most people are smart enough to realize that with all the cameras rolling there's only so much Chisora would've done when they were face to face. He was holding a mic in one hand and they were head to head, it's not as if he was posturing to punch him. At the end of the day it's Haye who threw two sucker punches to start the whole thing. He's upset that Chisora got the fight he wanted and that he put in a better display than Haye did against Wlad.

I can't believe I am going to side with Haye here but I am, nothing would have happened if Chisora known for being a loose cannon had not gotten up and walked over to Haye in a threatening manner.

I could have played the bigger man and just walked away but sometimes people have to get punched in their face. ESPECIALLY if you told them to step off and they're still saying F*** you to your face. That was years ago though when I was ripping and running. These days I'm away from the non sense. There is always someone trying to prove they're tough because of being intimidated. I remember I was in the mountains of Switzerland and this French Canadian guy said to me that he hates N!@@a's. At first I was going to whip him out but realized the guy was trying to pick a fight so I took the high road. We started talking and shook hands. Come to find out one of his friends told me that he was looking for a fight and wanted to test me. I didn't bite so he went and messed with some other white guy and got stomped out.

You've learned the right way to do it. The law sucks for self defense. If you hurt somebody, you will almost certainly be charged with assault with a deadly weapon and you'll likely then have to plead to assault. In the chisora haye scenario, most judges would call it combat, especially between two pro fighters and there would be no defense of self defense allowed. I've had friends chareged wih assault with a deadly weapon in fights where the only weapon was their hand. One guy was charged and sued civilly by a guy that pulled a gun on him. He beat him senseless, paralyzing part of his face. Fortunately, he was indicted but acquitted.

Yes it was, but he's still a trained athlete with good power in his fists and who is used to take shots from other guys. I won't fear for Haye's health in a brawl like this, but I would do for a middle age man who isn't a pro boxer against a competitive HW.

Sorry Dereck gets no pass here, if you threaten to beat me once you saw me, and then you and your crew come toward me in a menacing way, well guess what , the min you come with-in 2 feet of me, you're getting rolled on Period, with no question asked, with gun, stick, knife , bottle or bat.
