  • Comments Thread For: Team Haye: We Left Home Early After Chisora Gun Threat

Adam Booth, the manager and trainer of former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, denied published reports that he and his boxer flew home early to avoid the Munich police. Haye and fellow British boxer Dereck Chisora were involved in a violent brawl at the post-fight press conference to Chisora's fight with Vitali Klitschko. Chisora was arrested at the airport and taken to a local precinct for questioning. He was later released and flew back to the UK with trainer Don Charles.

What more should David have done? he handled his business like a boss, then took an early flight to evade the cops. This statement is just to keep the po po in check. Props to Haye for creating a little drama in the heavies again

          yeah exactly that.
but of course chisora ALWAYS remembers to pack his uzi before hopping on a flight to germany eh? and it's not exactly like he's well hooked up over there, he's quite strongly disliked by the germans.
haye, no doubt prompted by booth, just doing his best to hype up the shooting threats- which shouldn't be ignored, but he's just milking it here. just like booth was trying to make out chisora glassed him when his boyfriend had clouted him with the tripod. they think if you repeat the same crap again and again with enough conviction that people will be dumb enough to accept that as the truth. unfortunately they're often not wrong with a large proportion of us humans being pretty dumb and easily persuaded.

I hate the fact that Chisora may lose his license to box, sometimes I don't even understand the sport, are they that in control over the fighters? Plenty of fighters have popped off outside the ring, whats the difference here?

It popped off right in front of the worlds media and once it hits the internet, there is no stopping the negative reactions.

Plus they are 2 loud mouth black guys who some feel are lucky to be in their positions. That is just the vibe I am getting from reading all these blogs from a bunch of old white people.

Seems sensible if they were staying in the same hotel as Chisora. I probably would have done the same, take yourself out of the situation and try to avoid further problems.

It was a very heat of the moment thing, and I reckon Team Haye probably regret it and will do everything they can to fire fight from now on. But I honestly place the blame with Chisora - you simply dont get out of your seat and get in the face of another fighter like that after you've been mouthing off to him, if he had stayed in his seat like a grown up he wouldnt have been smacked in the face. Simples.

If someone threatened to burn you or shoot you, you're telling me that you'd wanna stay in the same place?

GTFO here. I would dip out of that country ASAP.
