Comments Thread For: Daniel Geale Discusses Career, Possible Future Options

IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale could have a busy year ahead of him. After a successful 2010 which saw the Australian buck the recurring trend of title challengers failing in Germany to rip the title away from Sebastian Sylvester, the 30-year-old seems to have been mentioned as a possible opponent for champions (Felix Sturm and Dmitry Pirog) contenders (Darren Barker) and old rivals (Anthony Mundine) alike.

Hope he goes for Pirog next. Sturm wouldn't fight him anywhere but in Germany and Sturm is going to be nearly impossible to beat at home if you're not a puncher, which Geale isn't. Geale easily beat Sylvester in Germany (IMO) and he still only wound up with a SD.

I don't care who he fights after his mandatory, but it ought to be a top 5-10 guy. same goes for the rest of the division.
