    Peter Quillin vs. Alfredo Angulo

Angulo is coming off a KO loss to Kirkland in Mexico, and Quillin is coming off a decent win over Mcewan and should step up. Angulo could easily fight at 160 lbs and is still a good fighter. I know Kirkland killed him, but that had a lot do with the fact that Kirkland survived and then beat Angulo down because Angulo gassed big time in the first. And then Kirkland continued to punish him until the TKO in the 6th.

Angulo has no fight set and I am sure he'd look for a high profile bout, which a fight on Mayweather's undercard would be. Angulo is also Golden Boy and now Quillin is without an opponent for the fight. I am sure Angulo thinks he could possibly beat Quillin, which would rise his stock again. And I am sure Quillin kknows he has enough speed and skill to cause Angulo major problems and to beat him, which would rise Quillin's stock as well.

Quillin-Angulo on the May-Cotto undercard. Would you like that fight or no???

Why not...except for his Visa issues.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. But, I am sure they could get all that figured out.

Nah, don't think it's a good idea to go up in a weight against a guy with power right after being TKOed. Anyway, if he wasn't eager to fight Martinez even at 155, I don't think he'd be very motivated to move up to fight Quillin at 160 for no title.

In general though, I think this a decent fight.

They still haven't after all this time...I wonder how hard GBP is actually working on it.

He should stay at 154. Its a better division for him. Pero needs to take a few easy comeback fights after that beating he took

Angulo has alot of problems on his hands...The big one is his visa issue...The second one is just as bad, He tasted the canvas in BAD FASHION vs Kirkland. His steel jaw is not unbreakable no more. And I agree, Perro needs to take a couple of easy fights to build up his confidence.

He needs to refocus and get a new trainer. Nacho does not have time for him and it showed in that fight (taking nothing away from kirkland). He is so tied up in Juan Manuel Marquez. That is one of the reason Marquez's brother Rafael left Nacho.

Perro belongs at 154. That is his weight. Even if his Visa issue is resolved by May 5th, taking a Quillin fight at a higher weight class is the wrong move for Angulo and GBP.

Still no word on Angulo but word is he should headline a GBP show down in mexico televised by Televisa. Maybe ESPN deportes will pick up.

if angulo gets stopped again his career is all but over

he'd need to undergo a huge rebuilding process, and he could be all done even if he's brought back slowly

i dont think it's a good fight for him. it could be exciting, but i dont think angulo should be in there with a puncher for at least another six months
                    maybe even a full year.

especially a larger one with handspeed
