thanx for proving my point, Campillo chose not to finish the fight. I had Campillo up 95-93 after the 10th......It happen to so many fighters and this was clearly another example of it...Campillo needed to raise his level in the champioship rounds and by him not trying for the ko.. it costed him...

I wanna see the judges scorecards, cuz this is ridiculous. Sure, Campillo took his foot off the pedal in the last 3, but not to the extent that he out-right LOST those rounds, he was still blasting Cloud with 3-6 punch combinations and kept mixing up his attack. Cloud landed a good counter-right near the end of the one of those rounds (can't remember which one) but still, that doesn't justify giving him the entire round.
The idealogy of "You have to beat the champ" is bull****, and i've always felt it was bull****. The only other thing Campillo could've done to Cloud was drop him, but even THEN, he still would've lost on the cards. He had to stop him, which is what makes this fight a blatant robbery.Comment

Campillo had Cloud hurt in the 11th and was thumping him. Ref cut Cloud a break when he was hurt.

Your best argument is that Campillo lost the fight by easing up in the last 2 rounds, but he arguably won round 11 (I had him winning it) and I think he definitely won round 12. Maybe not comfortably, but somewhat clearly. And you're wrong that he would have won it for sure if he'd knocked Cloud down. If he had knocked him down in one of the rounds that he already won, he would still have lost the fight 113-112. If he had stolen a round they gave to Cloud with a knockdown, then it would have been a split draw. Especially if the latter scenario had occurred in round 12- because the judges already turned in all their scorecards for the prior rounds. They can't go back and change rounds from Cloud to Campillo (barring math mistakes) just because Campillo finally got around to knocking Cloud down.
Your posts have been rather ignorant.Comment
