What? Cloud had no "killer instinct" he was just crap, he was missing almost all of his punches and was completely dominated by Campillo. This was a god damn robbery, there's no way to justify this decision.
And really, lay back and be cautious? He dominated Cloud and made him look like an amateur.
i agree 100%...anyone trying to justify this decision isn't a fan of boxing
I had it 114-112 for Campillo. Typically, when I score a card like that (close fight), I can see how a judge might have it a draw or the other way. However, looking at my annotated card, I would have to have given Cloud every round that was closer than the all-out-whooping he received in seven, eight, and nine. Campillo undoubtedly won rounds 2, 5, 7, 8, and 9. He clearly won 3, 10. Now, while Campillo outlanded Cloud in round 11, Cloud did land his fair share, including a huge right hand while Campillo was getting loose. Still, I thought Campillo was more prolific and more effective for the majority of the round. Rounds 6 and 12 were close. I thought Cloud controlled most of round 6, although Campillo did open up late. I also thought he was the only fighter doing anything for most of the twelfth, although Campillo lit him up with some stuff late. I thought Cloud edged out Campillo in both of these rounds. Round 1 was clearly Cloud's 10-7, and round 4 was clearly Cloud's (despite what the Showtime crew thought...Campillo didn't do a thing in round 4). When the dust settled, 114-112 Campillo, and that score is deceiving.

It wasn't campillo who scored the knockdowns...you got to remember that campillo was digging himself out of the hole the first half of the fight..Campillo needed to be far more impressive than the knockdowns. He needed to realize that he wasn't the champion, he was in champions back yard and he just got floored not once but twice in the fight...Campillo needed to far more impressive..when the 10 round came he decided to play it safe instead of raising his level and taking it to cloud, he needed to fight like it was it last. that's the killer instinct that he lacks and it costed him..raising your hands and celebrating and the end of each round ain't gonna win you the fight

Good job Tavoris Cloud, close fight and the champion landed the harder shots.. You can't run around with your hands up playing around in the 11th round as the challenger and give away the last round, pretty ******........

Winning almost every round, out boxing and landing more punches than your opponent and landing the cleaner ones is what wins fights, and that's exactly what Campillo did.
Other than the first 10-7 round for Cloud, how many other rounds did he win? 2? 3?
two boxers as commentators world champions were wrong too huh? you must be a pro of boxing to make such a statement. Too bad you were able to see what we could not...I should feel sorry for the ones who could not make sense out of this decision, including myself.
Cloud got owned and he knows it. He walked back to his corner like a beaten man after every round from 2 - 12. Capillo pulled himself up by the boot straps packed a lunch pail and went to work and Cloud went on vacation. There are criteria for scoring fights and Cloud came up short in all areas in more rounds than not. Ring generalship: not Cloud he backed up all night. Effective aggression: not Cloud ,he was aggressive in spots but even then it wasn't at all effective in any more than 3 rounds including round one, defense: not Cloud he left that sitting on the couch at home, clean effective punching, Cloud in round one and maybe you can make a case for 2-3 more rounds. Other than that it was all Campillo with the clean effective punching. Cloud didn't look like he was handling Yusef Mack's boxing ability well in his last outing until he caught Mack with a big punch even though the judges had him winning that fight too. LMAO @ the post fight interview where Cloud sounded as delusional about what he thought happened in the ring as my man Glen Johnson did after he lost to Bute. Tavoris u were not the aggressor, you did not out work anyone tonight and you were the one backing up. Cloud better make some adjustments before he starts back calling out any of the big boys at 175 again. All of that said I hope somehow this could get overturned but i think Cloud would do alot better in a rematch and probably win easily without help from the judges because he wouldn't be so over confident and unprepared for Campillo's style. But then again "styles make fights" and maybe Campillo has a style that would give Cloud fits any night. Who knows? I just hate robberies!
