That is exacly what happened, although I wouldn't say he was schooled. He was off balance, trying to get away and simultaneously defend himself, not easy. So, if you are being sarcastic, it really hasn't hit the mark here, except in the opposite way to which you intended. He won the fight comfortably by rounds, although not comfortably in perception due to the well publicised exorbitant expectations in the minds of his supporters.

As for the little contretemps, it's possible that MannyP is rebelling against those who take advantage of their secure positions to do a little tto much bossing around. Showing that HE'S the boss, not they. Well, he's only human after all.
