    problem with mayweather

i like mayweather we all know that. he has the skills, the money, the ****iness as well. but the problem with him is that even though i think he can beat the judahs, the hatton, the cotto (who im also a fan of), he doesn't end up fighting them. hes going too much for the money man. if he takes one bad payday compartively, and fights a big name such as hatton, and wins, hell set up more big fights for more money

Your absolutely right, Riz, alot of fighters today(PBF included) are short-sighted like that and don't see things in the long term.

I think if some big name fighters took a pay cut and fought on cable tv (ESPN, FOX, etc.) alot of boxing fans who would not see them otherwise would get a chance to see these guys and maybe, be more willing to order HBO or ppv.

For example, if someone like Lamon Brewster, Jeff Lacy, or Ricky Hatton would put their titles on the line in front of a cable audience(Friday Night Fights), alot more fans would get to see these guys and would respect them more. Hopefully, that respect would turn into lucrative ppv fights for these guys.

What are your thoughts on this type of strategy?

Arum said a while ago he will not put Cotto in with Mayweather any time soon.

Judah and Hatton are also just as much to blame for those fights not happening up to this point.

        Poor post.

High risk, low reward, and not a smart fight to take before he'd ever fought at 147.

              Exactly...

He's had his first fight at 147, why didn't he call him out?

              High risk?
              He's just scared....

Fighting a high risk low reward fight when he's never fought at that weight isn't a smart idea in any sense.

Your talk about being "scared" realy shows why this site has gone downhill with all the teens that post here.

                That's silly.

                    No reply?

Don't try and act like Mayweather is a warrior and fights everyone. ALL the experts know Mayweather is a PUSS PUSS. Everything I say, that you can't reply to, you just repeat the same bull****, or say, "That's silly." or "You're still a teenager."
