Comments Thread For: WBC Warns Zanfer Over Staging Show With Tomas Rojas

The World Boxing Council has warned Zanfer Promotions over staging a show for February 25th in Ensenada, with former flyweight champion Tomas "Gusano" Rojas (37-13-1, 25KOs) in the main event. A few weeks ago, Rojas claimed that he accepted money to take a dive in his six-round TKO loss to Jorge Arce in September 2007 in Las Vegas.

Who cares the WBC is a ****ing joke anyways. So what someone was paid off...Arum has paid people off but they still put his fighters fighting for those titles.

Zanfer Promotions is like the puppet of Top Rank, they've learned from the best. Rojas vs Arce and Marquez vs Ramos come to mind.

Anyways, as long as there is money to be made a sanctioning body will do business with Zanfer Promotions and Tomas Rojas. The WBC has no real power in this case and like the IBF in Argentina.

Who has Arum paid off? Please provide evidence.

Is it even legal for the WBC to not sanction the fights of Zanfer, simply bec. Zanfer promotes a Rojas fight? This doesn't make sense to me.

I can understand not sanctioning/recognizing any of Rojas' fights, but it's not fair to make other boxers suffer only because the WBC doesn't like Rojas. It looks like the WBC is going out of its way to hurt/punish Rojas, regardless of who else may suffer.
