Official Poll: Who wins the Hopkins Taylor Rematch?
Collapse
-
I think Taylor would have to change his style drastically, because in the 1st fight he didnt do a damn thing, it was more Hopkins didnt fight thats why he won the early rounds.
Also anybody with eyes can see taylor's cross coming a mile away, and hes been doing that all his career.
I think Taylor will be less aggresive, since he thought he wasted to much energy in the 1st fight. Hopkins can hurt Taylor easly.
And im pretty sure that Taylor did not have a concussion after the fight and whoever has been with a guy with a concussion in person knows exactly what im talkign about.
So if Hopkins doesnt grow old over night and doesnt get caught with a wild shot that KO's him, he will win by either UD or TKO(middle rounds).

Otto, I totally agree. But I think you need to ask yourself the question that I asked myself: can you see Hopkins going for the knockout? I just dont see that sometimes. Thats why Im torn between how he will win, but I am damn sure Hopkins will blow Taylor out this time.

Originally posted by Super_LightweightTaylor has lots of things on his side. He has youth on his side, and he also knows that some fans feel he robbed B-Hop so he feels he has a lot to prove. Also, he did quite well in the 1st fight for his 1st fight on the big stage and wasting loads of energy just from being nervous. This time, he will be more sure of himself. People who expect Hops to KO Taylor forget Hops is not a power puncher, nor is he a very active figher anymore. Also, when you watch the tape of the 1st fight, Hopkins retreats quickly any time Taylor throws at him. This is due to Taylor's size and quick hands. Hopkins is not going to want to exchange enough to win this by KO. If he does choose to do that, my money is on youth prevailing again, and without a concussion-inducing headbutt produced in the 1st fight, Taylor is that much less likely to lose.
The main difference is going to be stamina. As I said, Taylor wasted a lot of energy last fight just being nervous. That will not be so this time. He has seen that a 40 year old Bernard Hopkins is more bark than bite. Taylor's increased stamina will allow him to fight back better than he did in the 1st fight should Hopkins try to be sneaky in the later rounds.
Taylor UD.
also taylor has taken everything hop can throw even while suffuring from a concussion.
taylor says he'll be on the lookout for bernards dirty tactic which helped hop in first fight.
i feel there's a chance that hop stays a ***** and gets himself disqualified after he becomes frustrated from getting his ass wooped by taylor.

taylor wants this one just as bad as hopkins.
if its true that hopkins is using different gameplan then previous fights then i'm leaning more towards H.
taylor hung in there and took hopkins best...last time.
taylors going to wish he had headgear and body armor on bellow the waist.hopkins is going to maul him the entire fight.
i know taylor has more confidents now.we'll see if he's improved enough.

It'll be a very close fight like the first one, but I know Hopkins CANNOT get knocked out by Taylor's punches cuz when I saw Hopkins vs. Echols fight, Hopkins got nailed with a huge uppercut and still didn't go down. Hopkins or Taylor UD, very close and controversial. I see Taylor doing better in the second fight. Too close to call who the winner will be.

Hopkins by decision. He will turn the heat up a little earlier and win a clear cut decision.
Taylor will once again be open for the righthand all night long but this time I see Hopkins landing more lefthooks when Taylor jabs.
