I don't think Cotto is THAT good either. Even worse... he's been through some serious wars in his career.. he is an old 30.

Though Cotto may have fought more big names and been more proven, Canelo is a young 21... he is a NATURAL 154lber, he has heavy hands and is explosiveness, and his patience shows in the ring. He's much bigger than Cotto and hits a lot harder imo.

I think that fight is incredibly competitive.

Nah.. they are slowly increasing his competition.

Although shot, Mosley is the most dangerous fighter he's ever went against.

People are so quick to overlook the fact that he's only 21.

Let me say it again and again.

        21.... He's 21.

I'm not big on Cotto or alvarez at this point.

From my point of view there were long stretches of the Alvarez-Gomez fight where he was outboxed and made to look slow and confused by the reality show outcast.

Only the fact that Alvarez was physically so much bigger and powerful as a result of being about 15 lbs naturally bigger pulled him through.

I guess Cotto nor Mayweather are a true 154lb'er so it still wouldn't answer any questions about Alvarez fighting someone who wasn't coming up from 140 or 147.

Also you are slower then cotto and you move less then cotto does.
The hypocrisy of his statement is mind-boggling. Think about this way Canelo, you aren't anywhere near the throne, and Golden Boy is already treating you as if you're the heir to it. Look who you are fighting, Shane Mosley, a guy who is arguably shot. And you're complaining about Cotto? He's showing his immaturity with this comment.

Can we all get on the same page about Canelo's age? Does it matter or not? I listened to a guy on Youtube that brought up the fact that Tyson was a champ around the same age as Canelo. He said Canelo has a lot of composure and ability for a fighter his age, and that Mayweather should've fought him instead of Cotto. So what is the context in which we should analyze Canelo's age from? A young inexperienced prospect who has a belt? or a young champion who should be fighting the top guys in his weight-class?

                      ??? hahaha

...says the guy that really lost to Larry Mosley and needed the Judges help to get that win so he can stay UNDEFEATED!

most boxing fans would say that Canelo would be the EASIER FIGHT FOR MAYWEATHER
