Can you honestly look at this list of opponents and say that Canelo is even ready for Cotto ?

Canelo had trouble with the younger brother of the guy floyd is fighting and still he is talking **** ? Canelo isn't even the best fighter in his division so why he thinks he'd win a round with mayweather is laughable. I doubt he could even take four rounds from rodger and he's trying to fight floyd, amazing

Canelo has more punching power than either of those guys , he decapitates cotto, and would give jr a serious problems if not upset him,keep understimating this kid he keeps winning spectacularly while Jr has to take cheap shots to win, and cotto looks like diarreah in his wins against nobodys .

Canelo ain't beating Cotto and he sure as hell ain't giving Floyd any problems. If that kid was any good then Golden Boy would have put him in the ring with some liver opponents at 154. Sorry dude but Canelo & Chavez Jr are both joke champions.

Roy Jones fought better opponents than Dawson at one point... surely doesn't mean a damn thing in 2012.

Like I said, more proven doesn't mean anything. How proven was Roy Jones when he was 13-0? THough I bet that 13-0 unproven Roy Jones could beat almost anyone in the division, at the least be competitive.

Don't take what I say the wrong way, I'm not picking Canelo over Cotto, or Cotto over Canelo... Im just saying, Cottos recent wins are more flash than substance, and what he's done in the past doesn't indicate his abilities in 2012.

Listen, I'm not or have I ever been sold on Miguel Cotto's hype as a fighter but even I know that he would beat Canelo at this stage of his career. Canelo is not that good and I think his level of competition at this stage as a pro is proof of that.
