Can you honestly look at this list of opponents and say that Canelo is even ready for Cotto ?

Cotto would skool this kid, and krack his ass in the later rounds..

Child plz, get out of here with that Canelo is better than Cotto BS...

    Kermit Contron

    Alfonso Gómez

    Ryan Rhodes

    Matthew Hatton

    Lovemore N'dou

    Carlos Baldomir

    Luciano Cuello

    Jose Miguel Cotto
And if you really wanna get picky... since Cotto got torn up by Margarito... he went life and death with Clottey, got annhilated by Pac... beat a shot Mayorga, a one legged Foreman, and a shot Margarito.

Cotto isn't exactly classing the world beaters of boxing either.

I doubt he could even take four rounds from rodger and he's trying to fight floyd, amazing
Canelo got caught no worse than Floyd got caught against the guy Canelo is now fighting.

Canelo ain't beating Cotto and he sure as hell ain't giving Floyd any problems. If that kid was any good then Golden Boy would have put him in the ring with some liver opponents at 154. Sorry dude but Canelo & Chavez Jr are both joke champions.

But Cotto is a better fighter, fought better opponents and is more proven then Canelo is.

Just becaught he fought better opponents doesn't mean he's better today.

Roy Jones fought better opponents than Dawson at one point... surely doesn't mean a damn thing in 2012.

Like I said, more proven doesn't mean anything. How proven was Roy Jones when he was 13-0? THough I bet that 13-0 unproven Roy Jones could beat almost anyone in the division, at the least be competitive.

Don't take what I say the wrong way, I'm not picking Canelo over Cotto, or Cotto over Canelo... Im just saying, Cottos recent wins are more flash than substance, and what he's done in the past doesn't indicate his abilities in 2012.

Listen, I'm not or have I ever been sold on Miguel Cotto's hype as a fighter but even I know that he would beat Canelo at this stage of his career. Canelo is not that good and I think his level of competition at this stage as a pro is proof of that.
