i cant see how marquez would be ranked higher. like i said, marquez at this point is definatley better overall resume. you can argue he beat pacquiao, but at the end of the day its still a loss. other than that he beat ramos, katsidis and diaz. while ward has beaten the top guys in his division. beating kessler and froch > diaz, katsidis, ramos

It doesn't matter if it's officially a loss or not, the P4P list is completely subjective and even though he has a loss in his record anyone could argue that he's higher on the P4P lists because he actually won that fight.
Pacquiao officialy won that fight, yet he lost one place on some P4P lists.
Williams "won" against Lara, yet he was demoted on most rankings lists.

okay....
Pacquiao beat Mosley, Margarito and Clottey
Mayweather beat Ortiz Mosley and Marquez
Martinez beat Dzinziruk,Barker and Williams
Nonito beat Monitel,Vasquez and Narvaez
Ward's wins are more impressive than any of the other top P4P's.
Despite their big names
If you look at what has been achieved overall as of NOW I would say Marquez, but if you base P4P rkings on overall expectations I would have to go with Ward.
I think it's close, my top 5 in order is Floyd, Pacquiao, Martinez, Marquez, and Ward (don't know why people are hell bent on having the overrated Nonito on their top 5). But I can see how people would have Ward higher, but I just look at Marquez and he's never clearly lost a fight, excluding his lightweight-welterweight climb against Floyd of course. But I think if Ward goes onto dominate Bute, then he's definitely moving to a solid number 3 slot.
marquez. dude 'beat' the supposed number one guy. froch, is a stiff to begin with, not that impressive.
im too lazy to go down the list, but ward really doesnt have competition, tho i dont kno if its out of he being that great, or just lack of skills in the 168 division.
doesnt really matter, jmm is on his way out, ward will probably replace his spot officially on the ring, espn, and other ranking services.
The sad thing is that those 2 guys fight tooth & nail for their rankings & 2 cherrypicking superstars hog the top 2 spots on most pfp lists,(but not mine). I have Ward & Maruquez higher than both with Ward as my #1.
