Valid argument. But you can just as easily discredit every notable win for all other P4P guys, so it's just a matter of opinion. Personally I have Ward ahead of him at #3.

Im sorry but Sergio whooped the dog**** out of all those guy who where the absolute best at that class, when Sergio fought them...I was impressed by Sergio's last fight...he got exposed, cant deal with movement, he struggled, got his nose broken, then rose to the occasion like a true champion and busted the guy's eardrum...That fight with Barker sealed the deal for me...That fight showed me that he has the heart, skills, will to win, and durability to take punishment, then rise and make u pay!

What Williams and Cintron did to him? Martinez got one of the most brutal Knock Outs of all times against Williams and he actually also KOd Cintron but the referee was absolute crap, and even without the KO he was the clear winner of that fight.

BTW Lara did exactly what Martinez did against Williams. Yes, Quintana was the first one to use that strategy against Williams but Martinez was the one who was actually able to land that punch perfectly. Lara actually landed that punch several times but he wasn't as powerful as Martinez to KO Williams.

Williams was one of the most feared fighters when he was destroyed by Martinez, actually he was already thinking of fighting Pacquiao. Pavlik was the #1 MW of the world and the legit champion. Cintron was a very dangerous fighter when he got that "draw" but to be honest Martinez won that fight.

floyd mayweather jr is a boxing genius and knows more about boxing than anyone in the history of the universe and if he doesn't want to fight a guy that means he knows he's good. so just by going off floyd's wimpy inactions we can determine sergio is great.
