I don't know why you anti-Pirog people (mostly martinez **** riders) are trippin. Word is Pirog vs N'Jikam is next, which is a solid fight.
Now if Pirog had no fight lined up and turned down Golovkin, ok then maybe you'd have a point, but that's not the case.Comment

Disappointing move by Pirog. He needs to take these fights, otherwise no one will take him seriously.Comment

GGG is too good and punches too hard for his own good.
I Think Golovkin is the most avoided fighter in boxing and its been going on for years. I remember that both Mundine and Sturm wanted none of this guy. A shame really. Golovkin is a major talent. Hopefully he gets to prove it to a bigger audience soon.Comment

Show me one offer that Pirog has rejected. GG has an open slot under Wlad - Mormeck. It's a lackluster card that could use some spiffing up. Has he sent an offer to Pirog?
I'm guessing this guy is talking about this:
The trainer of "regular" WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (22-0, 19KOs) stated in a recent interview that his fighter desires to stage a unification against WBO champion Dmitry Pirog (19-0, 15KOs), but the Russian champion's team have never sent them a proposal.
And this was released by team GG 2 weeks earlier, it's a mirror image of the one above:
Oleg Hermann, the manager of WBA "regular" middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (21-0, 18KOs), would like to see his fighter face WBO champion Dmitry Pirog (19-0, 15KOs), but says the two boxers needs to fight in other markets, especially the United States, to build their names because most fans are not familiar with him and that creates a problem in selling this type of a fight to a major cable network. Almost all of Pirog's fights have been staged in Russia, while Golovkin has been fighting mostly in Germany.Comment

I ****ing hate Pirog.
This guy sounded like a complete dumbass when he said none of the 160 champions want to fight him and he's thinking of retiring.
Martinez said Macklin was the only top 10 Middleweight that accepted his fight.
Pirog thinks he can beat 2 poeple who aren't top 50 contenders and now he's a big deal?
Pirog is a coward. He insulted the other champions, but it's clear he himself will never go near a good fighter again.Comment

didnt pirog say he wanted a big fight or he would consider retirement? well an opportunity just presented itself and he turned it down?Russian cruiserweight Gregory Drozd is surprised that WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog is not interested in fighting Gennady Golovkin, the WBA's "regular" champion at 160-pounds. Drozd, a rising cruiserweight, is good friends with both fighters. He knows Pirog well, due to their Russian roots, and he was stablemates with Golovkin when both boxers were promoted by Universum.
