  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather Taking Heat Over His Swipe at Jeremy Lin

While there are black players who do what Lin has been doing, it doesn't change the fact that it is still impressive. Nobody is saying Lin is on the same level as Jordan, Kobe, or Lebron; however, he isn't far from Derick Rose if he keeps up the work.

His racist slag against Lin is just the latest in floyd's richly racist storied history that is very well documented.

the black players who've done it are legends. that's how ****** he looks in saying this. makes no sense for him to add that added swipe. dude had so much leverage after bob arum flubbed the pac vs may fight, but he just couldn't help himself.

he shoulda just said, jeremy lin is a testament to hard work and dedication, as is his motto, and he would've gotten plenty of respect. but that woulda taken more than 1 thought from the guy.

the only reason people gave a **** about kareem's cameo in game of death was because he was black, if he was asian, no one would have thought twice about it. JOKES.

Eh. Lin wasn't even drafted. Stanford(the school he wanted to go to) didn't offer him a scholarship. He went to Harvard, got picked up by the Mavs last season then cut after the Summer League was done and continued to work hard.

The Warriors picked him up and gave him a 2 year contract, got cut this season and was about to get cut by the Knicks before they decided to keep him on the squad. What he's done is amazing. Coming from a nowhere to take the Mecca of basketball by storm. The guy Lin deserves his props. Floyd's ****** for making that statement, but it's nothing to get upset about IMO

You are part of the reason this gets so much press, after 5 games you compared him to Mvp D-rose.
