No, steroid testing didn't come about until a few years ago. Regardless the testing is pretty much a joke and won't prevent a fighter from juicing although it will catch the ****** ones like Vargas and Toney.

If anyone remembers Holy's terribly uneven performances and retirement after the first Moorer fight because of "heart" problems, most likely he was having adverse reactions to being roided up. Any modern fighter may have juiced either intentionally or unintentionally. That's just the way modern sports is.

You only have to look at holyfields muscle definition in that fight to know that he was on steroids he looked more like a bodybuilder than a boxer he had huge muscle coming out of his shoulders and back , his mucle definitin didnt look natural . Boxing promoter bob arum has said since that holyield used steroids .

Douglas's count was to like 15 by the time that ***** got up.

Tyson easy made his own 10 count even though the ref waived it off, and he even took the time to grab his mouth piece rather than spitting it out for extra time like some people.
