Isn't this where Sergio Martinez allegedly comes from? Not a surprise.

Just read the article N.E. Very descriptive of the event. Rold summed up what I had already gathered at the end: "Lazarte started it. Casimero finished him." What a clown, this Casimero. He has a history of dirty fighting. At forty-years-old and a 49-11 record, he tried to bully a kid that actually has a future in the sport. It appeared that the ref should've taken more drastic action earlier in the evening. Perhaps he was afraid of what eventually happened anyway.

I watched the video last night. I'm not trying to blame the police -- it's easy to Monday-morning quarterback -- but the cops on the scene didn't react quickly enough to what was going on, in my opinion. They should've gotten the target of the attack, Casimero and his team, out of there immediately. I will say that they appeared to be trying what they could, but without fast action, they were quickly overwhelmed. It was a tough scene for anyone not actively involved in that display of savagery.

In the age of the Internet, those chair-flinging losers at the fight caused a gigantic black-eye for all Argentineans. How long will it be before a notable foreigner takes a fight in their country? Too bad. I've been to Buenos Aires, "The Paris of South America". It's a great city, beautiful women everywhere.
