mad thing is that cortez is so corrupt nowadays that it is OBVIOUS! it's getting to a point where people are saying before a fight- if cortez is refereeing then of course it's gonna be a farce...

He just does not cut it as a championship level ref anymore but the sad part is he still will get the big assignments

I think great is a bit of a stretch. He has some fantastic tools but he doesn't have a boxing brain & doesn't have the ability to make adjustments midway through a fight.

There are plenty of things he has to work on.

His inside fighting, sitting down on punches, learn how to roll punches, stop trying to be Pacquaio mark II & stop trying to prove that you have a chin & can take a shot.

He does have some tremendous advantages though.

His hand speed is phenomenal, he has great athleticism, a great work-rate and fantastic desire and commitment. Oh and he's signed to Golden Boy.

Has the tools to be a very very good fighter...great...I don't think so.

Yes maybe Great is a little too much but he has the potential thats what i meant to say.but yes the dude Just needs to calm down and yes the Guy try's to prove that he can take punishment when he doesnt have to.Boxing is not about putting your chin out there and taking hits its about taking the least Punishment and Having a Great Career and able to speak well when u r retired. But yes i agree he needs alot of work if he wants to b called a world class Fighter which he isnt at the moment but there is room for improvemnt and he can get there but i dont think roach is the one to teach him Craft like Defence and Total boxing IQ. roach is a strict Offence teacher where he likes to out work opponents which is a good thing im not saying its not but he needs to focus alot more on Defence and pure Boxing as much as Offence is immportant Defence takes a fighter to that Elite Level.

Very true.

Even after these years that he's been professional he still seems very amateurish in style. That would be the worrying thing if I was in the Khan camp.

But he's got so many yes-men it's ridiculous.
