Alvarez is doing what Pac did for a while, signing to fight losing has beens...

However this is STILL a good test for Alvarez... Kirkland would have been a better fight (at least for the fans).

Everyone knew Mosley was shot after Mayweather silenced his critics for stepping in the ring with such a dangerous fighter when pac went ***** because Mosley was "too good"...

This is a better fight for Canelo than it was for Manny since Canelo is still young and needs these type of fights to build up his career.

As for Mosley, while it was questionable (not best) opponent that Manny could have faced, Manny still ended up fighting all the choices that were given to him (Mosley or Marquez or Bradley) except for perhaps Berto who was then and more so now questionable as a good opponent for Manny.

Yes. I was stating that Kirkland Alvarez would have been a fans type of fight. A much better fight. A meaningful fight or at least more meaningful than the one we are getting.

The bold is true............with the only difference being everyone knows Canelo is overrated, but Pacman is supposed to be the best fighter on the planet.

If Canelo beats the crap out of Mosley in impressive fashion and Floyd dominates Cotto I fully expect Mayweather/Canelo next December or Spring.

I think he meant actually "buying" into the fact that GB will try and sell this fight as being a legit fight for Alvarez.

Kind of like what TR did for the Pac vs Mosley and Margarito fights. Hell some would argue the Clottey fight too.

Clearly, none of these fights are the best fighting the best but promoters will attempt to sell certain fans that it is..

Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what I took from his statement.
