no he doesn't....Khan is just willing to put some financial gain aside to avenge a loss or to secure fights. He's done that a couple times now.

I figured it must have been a good deal if he rejected the Marquez fight, with the potential of a Pacquiao bout after that.

I'm glad. The first fight was very good and I expect this one to be entertaining too.

lamont cemented his own boss status. no machine behind him to bring him along to where he is at now. the road less traveled paid off for my brother.

It just shows me he's not confident he cant beat Marquez because he would've made a career payday against Manny in the winter if he beats Marquez.

Sometimes in life you give up a little in the short run to gain more in the future.

What's going to happen if he loses to Khan? A 3rd fight? His stock would drop a lot with a loss to Khan especially after a close first fight.
there wasnt even a real deal on the table for the marquez fight

UK? no not really. very bad place to stage a rematch after all that whining. peterson is american and americans tend to fight at home. second he's the champ. third vegas is the most neutral venue they can possibly get.... but there will be empty seats although i doubt UK gate would be very significant either way.
ps: 2 million is a lot of money.. i wonder how much bradley will get for pac.

Happy for him, but I am afraid whoever the referee is, will break the fighters up on the inside and Khan will win by decision...it's as simple as that.

The UK gate would be huge, you are wrong. 15-20k easy, MEN arena. You could have that fight in the Reebok Stadium in Bolton 40k seating and it would sell out. I don't think some of you guys understand what a big draw Khan is over here. Even the media coverage of his recent engagement was huge, he is A-list really.

I'm glad were getting the rematch but I did think this too. Marquez whom he says is one of his idols, than Manny is an amazing offer if it really was guaranteed.

Btw, being guaranteed Manny - anyone smelling another dirty Arum trick to put off the Mayweather fight again?

Good for him. Nice to see a hard working fighter get paid. Its a lot of money, and its also nice to see a fighter put it on the line and work to dispel any doubts from the first fight. He didnt have to do this, but respect to him for doing it.
