Comments Thread For: Team Ishida: Paul Williams, Only One Willing To Fight Us

Japanese middleweight Nobuhiro Ishida thought he hit the jackpot after scoring a monumental upset in his first round knockout of James Kirkland last April. Then a 35-year old journeyman, Ishida was thought to be a soft touch, but instead served as a reminder that Kirkland had a long way to go in his comeback.

Garbage fight, and I don't say that often about fights. Ishida does nothing for Williams career, or what is left of it

Don't think Ishida realizes hes there to be fed to Williams like he was for Kirkland. Would be interesting if can pull off a second upset.

EDIT: What weight is this going to be at?

Kirklands chin is suspect, even Angulo droppe him and if you hit this dude on the button, hes gna fall , like Victoria Ortiz.. BUt.. Kirkland has heart like no one ive seen, hes a beast a monster, and has power... So Ishida got lucky i think and he is not gna beat P Will... The chin is a funny thing. So much of it to do with conditioning & confidence. Obviously a good chin is a good chin & a bad one a bad one but for the guys in the middle there's so many tangibles.

Look at Nigel Benn. Dropped by journeymen & stands up to mad shots from huge punchers. Much of it can also be due to foot position, timing & so much more.
